Ryan Clady sounds like a decent stop-gap.

I'd imagine we already have a list of 10 or so veteran LT's that could possibly be cut before the season starts.

From reports earlier this week Peat has improved light years with his technique and coaches and players have commented that he's doing several things smoothly that he struggled with last year.

Settling into a spot, 100 percent, has changed his approach," right tackle Zach Strief said. "I think that he has really detailed his stuff.

"I would say in the last week we've seen Peat do things that we've been trying to get him to do for two years, and then you see it and you see it again and then you see it again. And its like, OK, he's got it."

"The progression is definitely noticeable," Unger said of Peat.

"We know he feels more comfortable on the left side of the ball, and I think any time you're getting multiple reps at the same position, I think you begin to build some cohesiveness with your group," Payton said.

We may want to keep him at 1 spot, especially since he seems to be mastering it now.

Bingo, and like I said in an earlier post... If we slide Peat over to LT then we weaken the interior of the O-Line and that's the pressure that Drew struggles with the most.

Yea I would say our guard positions are more important than our left and right guard positions the way Drew steps up in the pocket.

Barnes has apparently looked better since dropping weight. Maybe he can hold it down. Be nice if the rookie could get er done. Then we'd be cooking with some serious gas

The elite pass rushers in the NFL aren't coming up the middle, they are coming off the edge.
