The Saints reportedly have a season ticket waiting list near 77,000 fans. That's a whole lot of people abadoning ship in order to get Mr. Benson's attention.![]()
But the bottom line is that each of Loomis, Payton, and Brees will leave on their own terms. If for no other reason, those three brought Mr. Benson and the city a championship. The only question is if any of the three get frustrated enough to seek other opportunities. But I'd be shocked to see any of them forced out for any reason. SFIAH |
Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO
Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good. |

Brees on the other hand could find a team that is a QB away from the Super Bowl and leave for the chance of another Lombardi.![]()
That insane garbage about him being invested here, owning properties and businesses here, and politics are asinine. He can manage his assets for a year or two from another state and move back to Nola after he's done. |

Re: Hot Seat?
Benson has shown great patience over the years with his head coaches, but also has demonstrated he will make changes when necessary. Another thing to never overlook is the value Drew Brees brings to the organization. If a coaching change was to be done, then the chances of Brees walking after this year significantly increase. I guess in a nutshell as long as Brees is the QB and playing well, Payton isn't likely to be gone unless a complete meltdown occurs.
