I see both of them as more of a gamble than Hendrickson where we picked him up. Both Peppers and Charleton are described as "tweeners". Peeppers doesn't have a defined position at all and Taco is too small for a DE and too slow for a OLB. While either, or both, may end up being solid, why waste an early pick on either when you feel really good about what you have on your board.

Oh the Spartan. At 11 he would have been a reach ... I had concerns even at 32. He had too many question marks about his desire and work ethic. Too many past performances where scouts question his motivation & consistency. I believe Malik would be better in a 3-4 D. Didn't appear to be a "fit" in NO anyway.
For me personally, I'd stay away from guys with questionable effort anywhere in the draft. |
