Re: Payton need to go?
What the team showed yesterday is perhaps we need to ride out the season and allow Payton to save his job. Maybe this was our wake up call, or it was Carolina not showing up. Not really sure. If we are 9-7 or better this year (it is a tough schedule) then that would be considerable progress.

You can not not look at this team and say the recent changes in draft process and positional coach hirings are not signs we're turning the corner... Let's get healthier and play a few more games and make a judgement at the end of the season... |

Re: Payton need to go?
The Fairly situation and also Breaux made them reconsider the medical partnerships so that point have been improved too.

Re: Payton need to go?
In his press conference about the players sitting, he stated he loves and supports those players, so for me, that is biggest reason he can hit the road with them now.
Prior to this latest anthem fiasco, I read in another thread how he has lost his fire and drive and I think there is merit to that statement. |

Expediting those vetting processes and giving one man to much autonomy leads to these premature contracts that can hamstring a team; now we need another DT and we missed out in FA because we'd committed to Fairley... |
