Edmunds appears to be a freak (size, range, speed) but honestly if he doesn't have the instincts, it really doesn't matter because if you are that big and strong moving in the wrong direction, what exactly does that do for us? Over the years, I'm really starting to notice that when evaluating at the LB position, instincts should be FIRST, speed, size second. I think this could possibly be a reason what got Stephone Anthony over drafted . If you review SA college tape, you couldn't tell he was a 4.57 runner (red flag) out of the gate. When kids times faster than they look on their tape ... I'm curious to know what's up. Generally, it possibly indicates that their process is slow but in a B line, he's Carl Lewis. I'm looking at guys whose tape looks fast. Deion Jones was fast at LSU, Kuechly at BC, Vilma at Miami, Wagner at Utah St etc. Thoughts? |

True, we've an obscene amount of IRs, particularly at the LBer position; plus we traded a Anthony that DA was unable to redeem... Now I'm more optimistic that Anzalone will get better medical care and will strengthen for the rigors of an NFL Season... At the minimum, I'd like to see us get a 3-Down Mike and keep a seventh LBer on the roster: WLB - Anzalone, Stupar MLB - (TBA), Robertson, (TBA) SLB - Klein, Mauti |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
A good Mike LB prospect that could be had in the middle rounds:
Chris Worley, OLB, Ohio State Height: 6-2. Weight: 230. Projected 40 Time: 4.70. Projected Round (2018): 4-6 He went to Glenville High School in Cleveland just like Marshon Lattimore, Ted Ginn Jr and Justin Hardee. We could continue the pipeline. |

Re: 2018 NFL Draft Prospects - Saints
Yeah I'd rather keep Teo than Mauti or Stupar.

I have no problem admitting Teo' exceeded all expectations I had for him. I honestly thought he'd be injured and cut by the end of camp. Glad to be pleasantly surprised.
