Whereas Vander Esch has gone from heavy slot WR to TE to MLB in three seasons, with significant progression at Boise State...

But again, I go back to the fact that scouts came a second time with purpose of seeing him run and he declined - very concerning...

And I'd agree that Vander Esch and Urlacher are two different linebackers and that the game has now evolved more to Vander Esch style vs Urlacher who'd struggled as the game became more about passing...

im with you. especially when he said he would run at the second pro day. that rubbed me the wrong way. dont get me wrong i’d still be just fine if we took him at 27 but there is concerns. I wouldnt mind Shaun Dion Hamilton later on. he played just as good and maybe a better coverage guy. but the knee injuries afe concerning and of course the reason why he’ll go later

Jerry Rice had a less than stellar 40 and he ran away with the receiving record books - yet another argument for drills to be done in pads, with a football...

Unless he ran a horrific 40, the most disconcerting part of this was a second planned opportunity to compete and you duck and dodge - major red flag...

It's just a bit unsettling as he was high school teammates with Reuben Foster (Auburn HS) as well as college and I'm hearing some of the same squelch...

C'mon JP, that ain't fair to Rashaan. It goes by each individual player. You don't let the school do the vetting for you.

Just keep your fingers crossed this kid doesn't end up in Carolina, Tampa Bay, Atlanta or even the Lambs. *Gulp*

I’ve never heard a single negative thing about Rashaan Evans’s character or work ethic.

Just imagine if the one time we draft a LSU player it’s the one that 98% of us don’t want! We’ve had at least three meetings with him.

Hey, when scouts come back a second time for the expressed, conveyed intent of seeing you run a 40 - you run the 40...

And there's all types of character flaws - I'm just questioning his decision making and likely deferment to an agent to not run a 40...

Get what y'all are saying about judging him vs Foster, but if you're gonna say "Hey, I'm from 'Bama" - then it should work both ways...

I think he'll be a fine linebacker, just not a first round linebacker; and I was nervous when we didn't jump the ATL for Vic Beasley - and we found the Kryptonite for that, so I'm not sweating Evans going to a division rival...

Pittsburgh will likely snatch him up anyways...
