Why are people blaming the OL? They wasn't perfect but they were far from horrible. Just face it Brees was not Brees out there. Don't just listen to what the commentators say about no separation from wr. When db are playing man it won't be much of a separation, that is why you throw back shoulder throws. Everyone know back in the day Brees would fit those balls in. He also had his opportunities with big plays down field to Ginn, he was either short with the pass or he just didn't throw it. I didn't consider Brees horrible considering he was 22/32, 246 yds, td. The problem was they weren't running the ball enough with Kamara. 5 running plays, that was it for Kamara. Let's be real, Sean Payton's play calling didn't do the saints any favors.

Why shot my dream down? Can we at at least still cut Harris?

Re: We Had An Ugly Game
I thought the offensive line played just fine. We held on to the ball too long on multiple occasions and Drew makes some of the most mind puzzling throws sometimes. I don't know how he didn't have 3-4 picks this past game. I don't think he realizes there are just some throws he can't make anymore. If his timing is off, he doesn't have the arm strength to make up for it. He also missed a couple of easy touchdown passes as well. I'm not saying this to **** on Drew, it's just the truth.
That said, if our starting corners were playing, I believe we would have won this game. On to Carolina. More running the football. More game managing and screens from Drew. |

Sean Payton knew that we would have to score at least 30pts to win. We didn't do that. Kamara was outstanding. Other than that our O was stagnant. I blame the O line. Brees had no where near the time in the pocket that Goff had, while Drew was hurried and sacked a lot. And, the Rams, contrary to their rep were stuffing Ingram. Game plan for the Rams was not good either. It was almost like they hadn't studied this team. |

Re: We Had An Ugly Game
It's impossible to play at the highest level week after week. Especially, with other teams gearing up to throw their best at you. The coaching was not great yesterday. Payton overthinks/out thinks himself sometimes. The running game has been the major reason for this year's team success. Yet, it's just Payton's nature to want to throw it around. His clock management and use of time outs has always been poor. The team is beat up. Down three starters on defense yesterday. Two being the starting CB's going against a good passing team. The special teams looked worse yesterday. Took a step back. Every receiver outside of Thomas was a no show yesterday. Fleener is just not good. And not to be forgotten, the officiating was horribly one sided yesterday. All that being said, the Saints lost a close game to a good Rams team on the road. Lots of things to work on. Some negatives that can be overcame. A few things just are what they are. 8-3 after starting 0-2. I'm good.

Re: We Had An Ugly Game
200 yards in penalties alone are enough to earn a loss. It’s almost like giving them free points.

Re: We Had An Ugly Game
I just don't understand Vaccaro sometimes.
Some games he makes game changing plays like the pick vs Carolina or a 4th down stop vs Chicago. Then other times he will just sit there looking lost, like when he was in man coverage yesterday and he just stopped whilst the ball was in the air, then acted all shocked when the Rams player caught it. I just don't understand his inconsistencies, his rookie season he was all over the place, he certainly looks to have lost a step pretty quickly. |
