The Saint was right for not trading for Butler. Butler is not a bad CB but he is no elite CB either. I feel the patriots chances of winning the SB would've been greater due to the depth of quality db's on their roster. As of now, Crawley and Williams are better than Butler in my opinion. I believe Butler is a physical and feisty CB that can be beat if you don't have support coverage from the safety.

I believe Breaux will be a saint next year. The saints will sign him to a 2nd rd tender. I feel for what happen to him at the SB but no need to break the bank to sign Butler.

It was bad whatever it was. You don't bench a guy, IN THE SUPER BOWL, who has played 95 percent of your snaps, for match up reasons. As Rowe gets beat. And beat again. Philly touchdown! And beat again. I wouldn't touch him. Plus, the Saints don't need him.

Who would you target at slot corner? PJ isn't the answer at the position & Breaux is still a "unknown". We may not necessarily "need" Butler but we certainly require an upgrade at slot.

At some point, the good people of Boston will like to know the "real reason" why Butler didn't see the field. Belichick was quoted as saying it wasn't disciplinary reasons. "We put the best players out there that gives us the best chance to win". Rowe gives you the best chance? Rowe lined up on Agholor OR Jeffries was a death wish. Butler is your best tackler, made the play to win your team a SB in years past, plays good coverage (95% of snaps) but doesn't play in the Super Bowl. That's some cold S*.
