this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Pretty happy about this tbh. I think he was taking a roster sport that should have gone to Carr or Dural....

Even if CM does not work out we are still in good shape! Snead was a non factor for the most part last year and we still got it done. And agree on Carr, he is in the mix now but we got him too late last year IMO. He is going to get his shot this year.

No doubt, he could totally be a wet fuse but we don't know. Stats prove though that that injury, if it happens at a young age, they do in fact recover most of the time so that factored into it I'm sure. If he was older, NO WAY. He is still a young man and will likely bounce back.

Hanging on to a third, developmental quarterback is one thing, but with only 53 spots available on an active in-season NFL roster, it gets real thin, real fast... If you're a WR4, you're bringing something immediate to that roster - especially a team who's talent level has dramatically improved as the Saints have... Snead had one bad year versus two very good years - and he's paying the price for that one bad year by likely relocating teams... Hopefully, we've got a healthy upgrade better suited to solve third down/red zone woes, but don't kid yourself and think we're not losing a good player... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

I expect the Ravens to fail him on his physical and sign Dez or Brandon Marshall
