Drew Brees named NFC Player of the Week

Congrats to Brees. He's GREAT.

Side note - I wonder if Brees played in the AFC, say the Pats ... would he have at least 4, 5 World Titles by now?

Most likely. Imagine his getting to face the Dolphins, Jets and Bills each twice per year. You'd be guaranteed a division title every year and a first round home playoff game every year. Having to face the Panthers and Falcons, and to a lessor extent, the Bucs makes that quite a bit more difficult.

This couldn't be more true. The NFC South has been deemed the toughest division in the NFL for quite some time now. Pretty much the only division with worst to first potential ever year. All four of these teams have been to the Superbowl, and each of them are possible play off contenders every year.

Brees completed passes to nine different targets against the Falcons. That's how the train runs its best! Take some of that pressure off Thomas and Kamara. Let's save them for crunch time.

The NFC was built to stop the Saints. We have let them catch up through better drafting and free agent acquisitions. This years draft is questionable although under Jeff Ireland has helped get us back on top. Thank God for Drew Brees!

If the Saints had any sort of a defense over the last 10 years Brees could have 4-5 SB wins playing in the strongest division in the NFC.
