Ravens are due for a let down on Sunday.

Not to mention Mariota is not Drew Brees. If they tried bringing anywhere near that much pressure against Brees he'd make them pay dearly.

I have a couple of their guys on my fantasy teams, so I've kept up with them. They're a very hot and cold team so far. They've come out and dominated a couple of teams from start to finish, but they've also floundered their way through a couple and lost in ugly fashion. They're very much beatable.

I am not a fan of trash-talking. I do get in the head of rugby players after a good play telling them to get used to that and that I will be bringing it all day long. I like to make them nervous. But I try to do it with a little bit of class. No one has ever talked trash to me after a match because I was giving them flak during a game. If anything it Garners me a little respect.

For your information, I'm in my early thirties, and social media was born in my teen years. So, yes, I grew up with the same opportunities to act like an idiot on the internet, just like everyone else my age and younger, but I choose to be a bit more civil and measured in my responses to people. Does that mean I'm perfect and do everything right? Not even close. But there are lines that decent human beings should have the common sense to draw, and to stay behind.

My opinions are neither radical, nor are they outdated. It's called handling yourself with humility. People lack humility, nowadays. You portray me as some kind of bully for simply expecting that people in their mid 20's and early 30's (the people involved in this spat) should be able to have their arguments in a manner befitting of their age. I get that tempers flare, especially when you're young. So they had it out... terrific... Now move on. But instead, they persist and their insults mirror that of children.

By the way, you are sitting there defending Thomas and Kamara, as if I feel sorry for Norman. I am calling ALL of these guys childish. I don't care who started it, and I don't care who it's directed at. It's all ridiculous.

And as for people supposedly needing to mind their own business, this does not have to be my personal business. These guys chose to air out their little trash talking marathon where everyone could see it, so I am commenting on it. That's the thing about the internet, you can't hide, and they know that full well. This is why I don't use social media anymore (I had a Myspace account, once, and refuse to use all of the new crap). I keep my personal business private. It's one thing to give opinions as we all do in forums like this one, but if you're going to have an extended squabble with somebody, take it somewhere private. You can text, private message, email or (gasp) handle it in person behind closed doors.

I'm not suggesting they need my permission. They have all the right in the world to act as foolish as they want to, as long as they aren't breaking things in the process. But this is my opinion of them, same as you have opinions of people you don't know and will never meet. Make sense? And no, I'm not a hater. Do I have to hate someone to believe they are immature? Maybe you hate me because you disagree with me? That's the problem with people like yourself. You can't seem to grasp the idea that someone can hold a negative are dissenting opinion toward someone else without it being this awful act of hatred against humanity. That shows YOUR intolerance toward others.

Lastly, I don't believe that even frat boys should be allowed to grow up like frat boys. Fraternities are nothing but sanctioned idiot groups, as far as I'm concerned. There was a time, long before you or I were born, where boys became men before they were 15, because that was life. I don't think we need to go that far back in time, but there is no reason for 20 plus year olds to act a fool just because they think they can.
You're wasting your time. He isnt making excuses for them because of "culture." He's making excuses for their behavior because of the color of their skin. There is little accountability and he doesn't believe they should be held to any standard because of skin color. Rez hides behind his "culture" theme because he's racially bias and he believes white people owe black people some sort of daily pass for anything and everything because of slavery. He has a victim mentality and has an excuse for everything.

I blocked him a long time ago. Its unfortunate too. He's very intelligent and I enjoyed his insight into football. But his real personality and hidden agenda were too much for me to handle.

It’s amazing how well that Iggy button works. I put Guido on ignore last week and the board is much more tolerable.

I personally really like Rez's "real" personality. Besides, there are several agendas around here and some not quite so hidden.

Hmmm?

Re: Micharl Thomas fined $10,026

I definitely grew up before the internet and social media existed so that probably does contribute to my attitude that taking any aspect of your professional interactions to social media in a negative fashion is childish and unprofessional. I personally don't like Thomas jarring with a competitor on social media and I expect better from him and the organization in handling these things. I have always had more respect for people who let their play do the talking, but I do understand that many players utilize some trash talking and mind games to complement their play style and I am fine with that on the field. Keep it there.

I personally give no weight to the argument about age or culture. Don't care. Act like a the professional you are being highly compensated to be. This is a "culture" that is perfectly fine for your personal life but has no place when it comes to business. It's why the league and teams have had to come up with a player conduct policy to penalize this kind of stupidity. You want your millions of dollars then curb your immaturity and represent the league and your organization with some professionalism.
