Bottled up Zeke for most of the day. 3.3yd/rush is pedestrian for him. Shoddy tackling when Dak ran. He should have been stopped for a short gain every rush. Coverage wasn't where it should have considering we had good pressure today. O-line had their worst game in a very long time. A lot of pressure given up. Brees just looked off the whole game. Seems like we had a lot of drops today from guys who usually catches the ball well. #54 in Dallas had multiple plays where he led with the crown. He should have been ejected from the game. Play calling on O felt predictable. And the gamble to go for it on 4th in the first came back to haunt us. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Re: Observations from the Saints first loss in 11 games
That type of loss should give them the needed spark to finish the damn thing.
Makes me sick to hear Aikman gush in the booth over X-team as if he's getting a massage under the table by BJ.. I mean JB. I had no choice but to listen to that BS and it definately didn't help matters none! You can frikkin hear the elation in his voice and I personally don't think it's right for him to be allowed to call their games. I'm no longer home to tune in 870 to listen to Zach and Duece..Phone app goes to **** once the game starts and isn't broadcasted. -Offensive line got handled -Didn't seem Drew was making as many pre-snap reads and adjusting as usual.. -Recievers obviously didn't show up for their hand yoga classes this week. I knew there was a chance for a lost but not like that. 94 was almost a HERO. Hoping we go on a all out demolition mission of who ever stands in the way all the way to the destination... That one stung with all the chances we had to capitalize but couldn't for all the reasons that reared their ugly f**€kin head. WHO-DAT!!! ![]() |

Re: Observations from the Saints first loss in 11 games
hey yall. first time poster, long time saints fan.
if there's one thing you can set your watch to it's that drew and sean will always have one stinker of a game each season. it just happens. if they just have one in them this season, we should consider ourselves blessed. what made this one unique is that this was probably the worst game for every player on our offense sans kirkwood. credit to dallas, our o-line was bad mostly because their front 7 is really good. but skill players had just as bad of a night as brees. i'm hopeful that this will be a big time wake up call for the entire team. Terrible officiating both ways. i feel like that just adds to the weirdness that is these thursday games. away teams are 3-11 in thursday games this year. i get that it's more money and more exposure but its sad that the league won't take into account the input from the people who actually have to play and coach these games. because they seem to really hate them. strap in. it's gonna be a long week. ignoring sports media might be a good move. there are few things they like more than a cowboys win streak. its about to get really obnoxious. the good news is we're back to being doubted. that seems to drive this team more than being on top. sean and drew have now faced another top defense, and there are even more lessons to be learned from this one. |

Our defense played great. I can't fault the defense at all. They held Dak's crew to 13 pts in their house. You can't ask for much better than that.
The Saints offense had no answer to the pressure the Dallas D was bringing. Brees was rushed and couldn't get a deep pass completed, screens were being defended well, and the ground game wasn't moving the sticks. Dallas defense beat us. period. |
