But I think Ravens sent mixed signals and he thought he could get a lot more, then we signed Murray and it was to late for round 2 of negotiations.

Up to this point, all speculation as to what really happened.

Maybe MI's agent came in with a firm number (7-8M was my initial guess), then Loomis and the front office brass swiftly moved on to Plan B - L Murray. Or maybe their negotiation tactic back fired ?

Maybe once we were all in on Murray, the Ravens knew they didn't have to move on their initial offer?

Nonetheless, I wish Mark well in Baltimore & let's welcome Murray to New Orleans.

Wonder why we aren't going after WR's? Our corps were pretty awful besides Thomas.

We have WRs already under contract...

Two were rookies this past season and should be much better...

Ted Ginn was injured last year...

And underneath WRs are asking for a ton of money right now...

And with that limited cap space, and looming suspension (if more than first offense) and injuries - we currently only have one defensive tackle under contract...
