Both could be good problems to have but they'll have to perform in a extra ordinary way to take a spot from Stallworth. FWIW, the Saints scooped up Tuttle right after the draft, so this could be a guy that Coach Nielsen saw at his Pro day has a plan for down the road. If there is anyone who knows & sees potential talent on that D line, it's Coach R Nielsen. |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Lots of talk about a Granderson v. Hendrickson roster fight, but in college, and in Hendrickson's case both, Granderson played weak-side while T-Rex plays strong-side - it may be it comes down to one or the other...
But just throwing that out there to factor it all in as we're a month and a half away from training camp... |

WR-Z (2) 19 - Ted Ginn, 10 - Tra'Quan Smith, 14 - Travin Dural, 11 - Deonte Harris (UDFA 2019)
Who will step up at the "Z" not named Ted Ginn Jr? 3'Quan will be better, more confident with the playbook in year 2 ... I hope. Travin will need to stay out of the hot tub or he'll become a ghost in New Orleans. |

I'd like to see him stick around. |

MLB (2) 47 - Alex Anzalone, 44 - Darnell Sankey (RFC 2019), 55 - Kaden Elliss (R7P30, #244)
Coach Nolan touched on this yesterday with Alex ... 2nd year in, high football IQ/team player and it willing to improve. Wears a lot of hats (plays all 3 LB spots) & has tremendous growth. Stay healthy Alex. We need you. |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
I think Coach Payton will give Harris every opportunity to make this team ... or even as a practice squad candidate. It's Sherel's job to lose.
With all the shuffling on special teams (new s/t coach, players) this off season, I think this could be the one department that could get us over the hump. Special teams. Teams that excel here are usually still playing in January. |
