Drew is just being nice. He's getting cut.

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
I just don't think Austin is the answer. Many will say "Southake AKA Jordan Humphrey isn't balling @ practice" however when the lights come on in actual games, he has shown the ability to make a big play.
We need guys who can high point balls (see Jordan) and snag the contested throws to keep the chains moving consistently. I'm not seeing that with Carr. If we put Butler/Humphrey on the p/s, we could very well lose em. Tough cuts are coming. |

The thing with Austin Carr is that it doesn’t matter if none of us like him. Payton and Brees do. I don’t get it, but he’ll probably make the team over most of the ones we’re rooting for.

Tre' and Ginn have shown good stuff. I really would like to see Jordan and Butler show their worth vs the Jets. There have been a few plays (end arounds) where it look like Sean has a vision for Cyril Grayson. Would like to see him do good things next game as well. He has serious, serious speed that can hurt teams. Carr ... meh. Sean is holding on to him like he did Tommy Lee. |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook
Thomas, Ginn, Smith, and Carr are locks. Kirkwood being banged up is not in his favor. He could end up on IR. They love Butler who has yet to show anything in games. Humphrey has shown well in the two preseason games. Harris is a legit returner who hasn't seen any snaps at WR. If they keep six, he makes it. Five almost certainly not. Cobbs has looked okay in preseason. Grayson has looked great. Good hands. Quick and fast in limited reps. In the numbers game, Arnold can get some reps at WR as well. The final two preseason games means a lot to a lot of players.

Several media types I've talked with one-on-one still believe Carr is making this team though... |
