Re: 2019 Saints NFL Draft
Damarkus Lodge - WR Ole Miss
(PRO) IMO, he was the best route runner on his team in 2018. Not a burner but can make the difficult catches in space. I can't lie, I'm a bit partial to Lodge because I've watched him grow from a skinny/quite kid in the DFW area, stand out WR for 6A state Cedar Hill champs, then solid college production @ Ole Miss and now a serious NFL pro prospect. He's put in work. I wish him well wherever he lands later this month in the draft. |

Re: 2019 Saints NFL Draft
WalterFootball has got to be one of the worst sites on the internet. That being said, I like this piece of draft buzz:
WalterFootball.com: NFL Hot Press Teams Grade Hakeem Butler on Day 2 "[Butler's] being overrated by the media," said one director of college scouting. The highest grade among those seven teams was a late second-round grade. Others thought Butler could go middle to late Day 2, but many had third-round grades on Butler. That would be a really nice pick at 62. |

Re: 2019 Saints NFL Draft
Taking another stab at a mock draft...
R2P30 OG Nate Davis (Charlotte) *Saints Trade 2019 7th Round Pick (#231) and 2020 2nd Round Pick to Patriots* R3P9 TE Dax Raymond (Utah St) R5P30 WR Gary Jennings (West Virginia) R6P4 DT Chris Slayton (Syracuse) R6P29 ILB Ty Summers (TCU) R7P30 HB Alexander Mattison (Boise St) Oh boy, I can see the outrage now if this is how our draft turned out lol. |

Agreed - I'd come unglued if he was "the" pick in the 2nd round . |

Re: 2019 Saints NFL Draft
Nate Davis barely checks in with the necessary measurables as a Center for us, but certainly not guard, and while quick, he's susceptible to bull rush on the interior - not a good thing for Drew...
Also, Saints usually carry seven to eight offensive linemen (though I'd wished we's carry more) where each player can play no less than two positions, he's not playing guard nor tackle... Reviewing scouting on him several missed, but not NFL.com, that Davis was suspended by the NCAA suspension for four games for undisclosed infractions his Senior Year - not as some 18yo... It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Taylor Rapp, S, Washington
Instinctive & has a nose for the ball. Solid tackler, a gamer & impressive tape. Probably gone in the 1st though. |

Tytus Howard - T Alabama State
Heir apparent to Armstead ? Great size/length & has played multiple spots on the line. Possibly a Day2/3 guy. |
