Brees finished 7-9 in 2016 so record is not everything. Brees also does not have the ability anymore. He is broken. Teddy is not. Teddy is the better QB right now like it or not.

Had to bring this back to life to drive my point home.

Not sure if you watched any of the Packers/Philly game last night but final QB stats you may find interesting ....

Aaron Rodgers 34-53 422 passing yards 2 tds/1 int (costly)
Carson Wentz 16-27 160 passing yards 3 TDs

Guess who won?

You don't need to throw up crazy passing stats on a given night to win. Spread the ball around, have a good completion percentage, no turnovers, and play 4 quarters.

A game manager who spins W's until Drew is back in the saddle works just fine for me.

Re: Serious Question on Bridgewater

I am going to throw a curveball into this conversation.. It is not my opinion, its my speculation..

This is what I can not get my head wrapped around...
- A Pro-Bowl starting QB, in the prime of his career, takes a lower offer to ride the bench...
- A Pro-Bowl starting QB that habitually checks down...

This is TB's dream shot to take someones job.

We are fans, of course we think he stayed because he preferred the Saints (clearly the best team), no way in hell he knew Drew would get hurt or that he would get an opportunity to start either this or next year.

It isnt about record, its about confidence... Drew came out his first year as a Saint after a shoulder recovery that should of ended his career and slug the ball for 4,418 yards.
Teddy took a safe out, a check down so to speak. He has confidence issues and while I do not know if its ability or injury related he is struggling with his confidence.

It's not what you look at that matters, it's what you see. ~ Henry David Thoreau

Brother I get it, you are a Bridgewater fan, that's awesome. Teddy didn't win that game, if not for the defense and special teams touch downs the song would be different, you know that. He doesn't sling and we are built for slinging the ball.

I think he's saying that Teddy doesn't stink. He did what he needed to do to help win the game. Fortunately he got a little help from the defense and special teams, but I have to believe he can step it up if needed. We need to win the turnover battle this Sunday and Teddy has been very good at protecting the ball.

Wrong. I'm a Saints fan. Team first.

Never did I say Teddy was the sole reason that we won the game either. We won playing sound football in all 3 phases of the game and our QB didn't hurt us throwing costly (see ARod) INTs. Masterful play calling by Sean and Pete Carmichael. Brees is out for at least another month and I'll take the wins anyway we can get em.

See you in the winning locker room on Sunday night.

Honestly, Teddy is lucky Kamara was such a beast last sunday.

If Kamara wasnt as good as he is, Teddy would have thrown for like 80 yards and we would have been blown out.
