Re: Serious Question on Bridgewater

I am going to throw a curveball into this conversation.. It is not my opinion, its my speculation..

This is what I can not get my head wrapped around...
- A Pro-Bowl starting QB, in the prime of his career, takes a lower offer to ride the bench...
- A Pro-Bowl starting QB that habitually checks down...

This is TB's dream shot to take someones job.

We are fans, of course we think he stayed because he preferred the Saints (clearly the best team), no way in hell he knew Drew would get hurt or that he would get an opportunity to start either this or next year.

It isnt about record, its about confidence... Drew came out his first year as a Saint after a shoulder recovery that should of ended his career and slug the ball for 4,418 yards.
Teddy took a safe out, a check down so to speak. He has confidence issues and while I do not know if its ability or injury related he is struggling with his confidence.

Interesting theory. It's also very possible Sean said I want the ball out of your hands quick 2-3 seconds max, lean on Kamara as much as possible, DO NOT TURN THE BALL OVER OR TAKE CHANCES, if it's open take it. If we're throwing theories out there, that's mine.

Honestly, Teddy is lucky Kamara was such a beast last sunday.

If Kamara wasnt as good as he is, Teddy would have thrown for like 80 yards and we would have been blown out.

Just rocking his usual vibe once the season gets going, Major.

Nothing positive or negative about it, just the truth. I was happy that Teddy managed the game, but the talk of him getting the start over Drew is ludicrous quite honestly.

Kamara bailed him out massively. Not going to be as easy against Dallas as they tackle better than Seattle do.

I think anyone with half a brain agrees that Teddy over Brees is beyond stupid. But he did what he needed to do to get by in the interim. He is more than capable to win the few upcoming games. But by no means does that mean replacing Brees.

Yup and that was exactly my point, wasnt meant as negative vibe - it was just an observation, we wouldn't have won that game without Kamara as Teddy dumped a lot of passes his way and Alvin made something out of nothing.

Re: Serious Question on Bridgewater

To be fair, and we must be fair; Kamara and Thomas have saved Brees's a** a couple times. So has Graham, Sproles... The list is long.

More on being fair... I think what is fair is to wait until/if Drew comes back and then we will have more than a 1.75 game body of work to base our opinions on. These threads keep popping up but we dont have enough to form a qualitative opinion on actual play yet do we?

As far as my speculation, I am not picking a side, I am being pragmatic... I see a QB with confidence issues and that's not good on any level. The huddle will feel it as well.
