this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I’d be a bad GM too. Realistically if they traded him, they’d probably screw up the locker room. But still I’d try to get some delusional, emotional team to give up more than they should...

Re: Trade Teddy @ Max Value
Flame if you must but I do not think Teddy is the long term answer here, at least up until this point. Yes has managed the game plan Coach has made each week effectively and not lost a game but I think that speaks more to our great defense play week in and out, game planning along with tremendous depth of talent that is carrying this team right now, and yes Teddy is part of that depth and I am glad he is here.
Place TB on 85% of the teams right now and I don’t see anywhere near the personal performance or overall winning record repeating itself. TB play this week in the second half was a step in the right direction but he was very inconsistent in the first half with his throws. His completion % is high because the high % of check down passes. When our running game started working in the second half TB became far more effective. Just don’t believe he is the man that can put this team on his shoulders any carry a team like a Bees Brady Manning or Rodgers. Thats what Saints have now experienced and not sure anything less will feel right. |

That is a tough question. Remember, Jeff Ireland can do wonders with draft picks and build the team from within rather than expensive free agents.

Re: Trade Teddy @ Max Value
It would be pretty foolish in my opinion if we traded Teddy without knowing
how Drew's thumb is going to be for the rest of the year. Right now Teddy is the same age that Drew was in 2006 when we first signed him. Payton developed Drew into the passer he is today. Who's to say he can't do it with Teddy. |

Like In the Eagles regular season game last year. There was no reason for either QB to still be in the game mid way through the 4th.

Re: Trade Teddy @ Max Value
This is true. That's why I was so excited to be getting Brees. I had been watching Brees closely because Rivers went to the same school as me (NC State) and I was hoping he would get a chance to start, but this Brees guy was looking too good for him to get a chance.
