I don't know what people seen in Ginn going into this year.
All last year, all I heard was how the offense would magically open up when he came back. It didn't. Yes he was good in 2017, but how good was he? He ranked in the top 3 on deep threats that year, but 2017 really was not a high flying Saints offense. That team did not have the weapons to get into shoot out games. Of their 6 losses (counting playoffs), 4 of them were shoot outs where we simply couldn't make 3rd down conversions and go down the field and engage in back and forth scoring. In the playoff game vs Carolina, we just barely outlasted them in a shoot out mainly thanks to the Panthers kicking woes and Newton melting down. Ginn wasn't the answer. |
