this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Well Robbie is a burner & Ginn is getting old ... I'd say NO to Agholor. He eats too much popcorn ... butter fingers. But at the end of the day, no one gets me fired up like AJ Green ...

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Trade Deadline
IF Larry Fitzgerald would be willing to leave Arizona, that'd be huge opposite @CantGuardMike...
Arizona would have to take no more than a sixth round pick for essentially a three month rental; his cap number is $11.25 this year and we're half way through the season... They might be willing to let him go win a ring with the Saints as he's been incredibly loyal to them; and he could come back to them next season with a Superbowl ring in tow to help them continue developing... |

Some talk of Corey Davis being available I'd like that. Weird rumours that Evan Engram might be on the block. I'd give them our first to be honest for him. Really opens up the offense. Dread to think of him going to the Pats |

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Trade Deadline
I don't like an AJ Green trade cause I think it'd be too expensive, and I think he's very very slightly overrated and would command more than he is worth. TBH I'm still confident that Tre'quan is going to come back and impress. He was looking good before the injury and I think once healthy he's going to surprise people. I'm still only partially confident in Jared Cook. He's a talented skilled player, but I worry about his ability to shine when the lights are on him. He's put up good numbers in the past, but mostly for bad teams. I see someone that's playing a bit tight and nervous when I watch him. Either another WR or TE would be a good move. I'd really like another top tier CB, but I'm not sure we have the resources to pull something off. I think if you added someone like Patrick Peterson to this defense, we'd have the best defense in football. Apple is sufficient, but he's not someone with shut down potential and sometimes ends up out of place or ends up getting beat. Hopefully we'll pull off something big. If we could get high trade value for Bridgewater, I'd actually pull the trigger on a trade there too. I do think someone like the bears would be willing to take a risk on him.

Only way I'd trade Bridgewater and I doubt I would as you'd want to see Drew play through a game without a issue would be for a top 15-20 pick so you can get a QB in the draft

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Trade Deadline
Why would any team trade a high pick for Teddy Bridgewater at this point?
You know your team sucks balls and your going to get a high draft pick in a draft that looks to be very deep at quarterback this upcoming draft? Rub all the black and gold all over yourselves, but objectively watching the games, Bridgewater at best is a game manager, a Brad Johnson-type QB... Now, if your team is loaded as this Saints team is, you can win with Teddy, but he's not going to go out and go toe-to-toe and win a passing duel... With all the QBs coming out in the upcoming draft, teams will sign veteran quarterbacks to big, but non-guaranteed numbers to develop those picks... But they'll be back on the market within a year, signing for much less, but guaranteed jobs for at least two to three more seasons as backups... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: 2019 New Orleans Saints: Trade Deadline
Ok, let’s do this. We’ll have two weeks to get a guy integrated and up to speed. Fullback wheel routes and our RB catching 9 passes is fine when the defense has terrible LB’s like the Cardinals, but we need another guy to test secondaries.
