Re: 49ers are scary good
Yeah I agree. I think our RBs would make things easier. AK and Murray would loosen that pass rush up.

Re: 49ers are scary good
The funny thing is that GB would be killing it if they were running some quick slants. They havent adjusted and its killing them.

Re: 49ers are scary good
I've said all season that you can run on them. I'm not sure why teams aren't doing that. The Packers played right into their strengths. A good running team(which we are when we commit to it) can run all over them. I like the Raven's chances against them. They are going to pummel them with Ingram and LJ . This is going to give the blueprint to everyone on how to beat them. The 49ers are not as good as they look. They have some glaring weaknesses which teams just don't seem to want to take advantage of for some strange reason.

That defense was built to be fast. You look at the guys along their defensive line, and they aren't very big. Tall, but not particularly big. Cam Jordan gets his 12 sacks a year, or so, but he's almost built like a defensive tackle, and so he can set the edge and overpower his opponent in the run game, whereas guys like Nick Bosa and Arik Armstead ... Not so much. They just bull rush all game. And they are fantastic at doing that but, as you were saying, if you commit to the run against them, they have a problem. Kyler Murray hasn't been real impressive this year, but just the fact that he CAN run seemed to throw off the 74ers, and they struggled in BOTH games against the same Cardinals team that the Saints blew out. So yeah, I hope Sean Payton is paying attention, and doesn't have another crappy game plan like he had against the Falcons. Speaking of which, I hope he has a better game plan for that same team, since they are coming up in three days. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Re: 49ers are scary good
Good defenses and a solid running game travels regardless of where the game is played. The Niners are a ferocious bunch up front on D.
I don't believe in Jimmy G however they are a very good team in all phases. |

Re: 49ers are scary good
Like our matchups vs the 49ers...
Ryan Ramczyk vs Nick Bosa/Dee Ford Terron Armstead (period-free) vs Arik Armstead/Solomon Thomas Erik McCoy/Nick Easton vs DeForest Buckner Mike Thomas vs Richard Sherman/Ahkello Witherspoon Alvin Kamara vs Fred Warner Only one I see giving us problems is TE George Kittle vs DeMario Davis/Vonn Bell and it's not like we're at a real disadvantage, especially with Kittle hobbled... The real worry is Sean Payton having another mental lapse in a big game; and he's having more of them lately as well as getting predictable in his play-calling and his reluctance to power-run when needed... Might be time to switch up and let Pete Carmichael call for a while and then pull a Rocky II and switch up and go back to SouthPaw to keep them off-balance... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
