I guess some more of the story could be...

He couldn't read a defense if they wore name tags.
Notorious for never reading through his progressions.
Took way too many sacks.
In 2015 it was widely reported that he was not popular in the locker room.
The 49ers made it very public that they wanted to get rid of him before his contract was up.
He went 11-24 in his last three seasons with a Super Bowl caliber team.

And then he kneeled.

If you wanna lionize him for his social stances, that's cool, but lets not pretend he was anything more than a below average qb.
Lots of holes in this analysis, and taking the time to point what is wrong probably want do any good. People only believe what they want to. Calling him below average is just not reality, but you're entitled to that opinion.

Re: Saints won’t be at Colin Kaepernick’s workout

A disgrace...average talent for a QB. I don't hear Tebow saying he has been black balled, and he was another average talent, who wasn't worthy of an NFL starting QB slot.

Colin should in fact start his own marketing company. He has been masterful in manipulation and marketing. It is a marketing agencies job to create interest in a product that more than likely wouldn't stand on it's own merit. Today's manipulation and shenanigans, or always feeling you are special and needing things on your own terms, should prove he doesn't want to play, he wants the attention. Good riddance to Colin he should fade off an get another job just like Tim Tebow.

Despite of his attention grabbing and political antics, I have tried to champion for him based solely on football skills, but he has proven he is mediocre at best, on the field and off the field. At the end of the day football was his job and we are talking about the sport.

I am not trying to be harsh. Sometimes it is best to know when to ride off into the sunset, move along nothing to see here.

I agree with most of your points. The exception being the idea of him starting a marketing agency. The guy ain't that smart. In my opinion he's a puppet and someone is pulling his strings... Probably Nike's marketing department.

Re: Saints won’t be at Colin Kaepernick’s workout

The problem is that all the people outraged about how “persecuted “ he was know absolutely nothing about the game of football. They may have heard his name in the same sentence as Super Bowl several years back but that’s it. You have to follow professional football and not just your home team to know the whole story. Believe it or not about 80% of fans only watch their home team and then only IF they are doing well. They don’t follow the NFL until MAYBE the playoffs. It’s more of a social gathering thing for most people.
I have talked to tons of people who come to his defense yet can’t tell you what team he played for.
