Re: Saints won’t be at Colin Kaepernick’s workout
Why is this thread still going? Workout is over. Arm looked good all things considered. Still won’t get a job even though he deserves to at least be a back up. There’s a racial divide on the issue. We all get it. Saints play the Panthers this weekend. Dead the ****.

Also, the thread is still going because you kept it going. |

I agree With Kap’s message 100%. But he was 100% the wrong person to deliver it.
Can we please move on to Carolina. |

That’s your interpretation. I said there’s a racial divide on the issue. There is. His entire stance was centered around race. The thread pops back up to the top every few hours and the responses are usually non-football related. If you don’t like the guy then ignore him. If I wanted to call somebody a racist I would. I’m not afraid to speak my mind. So again, Panthers on Sunday. Or would you rather keep making implications and assumptions?

Re: Saints won’t be at Colin Kaepernick’s workout
All his politics and antics to the side, I thought he looked awful. He still has a strong arm, but his mechanics have gotten worse. He still has no touch and spotty accuracy at best. He's just not good, not even backup level good. He had a little over one good season, then defenses figured him out. If he had legitimate talent he'd have a job. Plenty of head cases and "activists" have jobs in the league. He needs to accept that he's done and move on with his life.

I’d bet any amount of money he’s one of the 32 best QB’s in the league, but at the very least 64.
Now if you say the headache outweighs the play, it’s hard to argue that. But talent wise, I think the opinions of him as a person affect the outlook on him as a player. Now one might say my opinion is biased, but I don’t agree with “protesting“ oppression. You fight oppression, but that’s just my outlook. His kneeling didn’t bother me nor did it excite me. His activism is cool, but we’ve have activists for years and the socioeconomic standing remains largely the same. I don’t believe that to be the way to go. Is he genuine? I don’t know. I don’t care. We could ask that question about anybody. I say all that say that I don’t care if he gets a job or not. If it’s **** the NFL then it’s **** the NFL. I wouldn’t expect to get my job back if I sued the company. But talent wise, should he be in the league? I say yeah. I’ve seen attacks on his leadership and whether or not he’d divide a locker room. I’ve spent a lot of time in locker rooms. They’re already divided on these issues. Trust me. The same way America is divided on these issues but will come together to deal with a larger threat is the same way a football team operates. That’s the whole reason they tell you to avoid talking politics and **** at work. I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, I need you, jobs done, I hate you again. That’s how this **** works. That’s how it’s always worked. Sometimes you find some common ground and build on that. Sometimes you don’t. Just live and enjoy this **** while it lasts. |
