Is It Clear?

Although my recent rhetoric would indicate otherwise, I do not like to blame the refs. You have to overcome bad calls and in general all teams have to do it.

But today, as with recent games, it is ever clear to me that the Saints not only have to beat the team they're playing, they also have to overcome what, to me, is a clear bias by the league to manipulate the outcome of the games.

We simply have to play cleaner than the other team. I hate that Roger has done this to the NFL. I really do. It puts extra pressure on us. And we're not the only team suffering from a league bias.

Good win today. Nice job by the entire organization. Way to keep your heads up in an environment that is clearly stacked against you.

C'mon Man...

It was blatant and it is undeniable.

3-25 Panthers
12-123 Saints
Hands to the face can be called on every play.
If you want to manipulate the outcome? Call that in key spots.
The PI in their last drive was an obvious : "F you. We can do what we want and you are powerless."
They will screw us in the playoffs.
That, they are telegraphing.

Re: Is It Clear?

No person on the planet can tell me the Panthers didn't have more than 3 penalties the entire game. I never blame the refs, but it so damn clear they are against us, Stevie Wonder can see it.

Btw just for the comment Saints got flagged 15 yards...

Re: Is It Clear?

The reviewable PI rule has been an absolute s**tshow, not just towards us but in so many other games during the season. It was the wrong solution to be sure, and I knew it all along. They really need to scrap it this off-season.

We got hosed a fair amount in this game, but really the offensive playcalling got really wonky at key times in the second half and that was was what kept Carolina in the game in the first place. Should have played it smarter and put the game away.

The play calling on both sides of the ball was bad. Not covering cmc like a blanket just drives me crazy... Payton called himself out in the post game presser for play calling.

It absolutely did. It seemed like all momentum was lost after that play. And...that was the stupidest penalty I have seen all year. Cam is fortunate he didn't get ejected.

The league really needs to figure out PI calls. I realize it is a subjective call, but there is just no consistency on what is called and not called. The reversal of OPI against the Saints was awful. Peyton was making a statement on his first PI challenge, the referees were making a statement with that reversal call.

It's clear to me that Riveron and his people have no intention of allowing the new "rule" to stick. They almost NEVER overturn anything. It was never stated, originally, that ONLY the most egregious of missed calls would be overturned. But that's the way they've attempted to interpret it.

And yet, they overturned a call, going AGAINST the Saints. I'm not one to get conspiratorial, but to me that was the officials taking a shot at the Saints because, probably in their minds, the Saints are the reason this "rule" exists.

What I don't understand is why is THIS so upsetting or "embarrassing" to officials? Everyone seems to be in agreement that Al Riveron doesn't want to embarrass his crews by subjecting them to having to overturn PI calls, but ALL replays have the same effect, do they not? It just makes no sense why there has been such an utter rejection to getting PI calls right, just as is the purpose for any other review.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

Cam was embarrassed by what happened he will bring it back together . The little twerp QBs dramatic help pull the flag from the a hole that was standing next to him. It seemed that crew had it in for us but read on—-The flags galore yesterday was a testament that teams have been complaining about our online . It started early in the season then lulled then came back again . When your best left tackle goes down guess what there eyeing us more.
