That is my current nightmare with the Saints. Letting Bridgewater walk, then overpaying Brees and yet another year of an offense that can easily be shut down by taking MT and Kamara out of the equation and blitzing Brees. |

Second, look at Brees' contract recent seasons, he's actually been signing to the proverbial "home-town" discount (production to pay), so unless he and agent demand to be highest paid QB, let's just breathe... Look, it's time to start transitioning to the next Quarterback, I'd be the first to admit that point... That said, not reworking his cap number, which can only be done with an extension, we're not going to be able to address pressing needs at LG, WR, DB in Free Agency - we'll still have roster holes... Not addressing those deficiencies, we'll be another quick out in the playoffs, there's no way Brees' contract is not getting re-worked from the Saints/Team Perspective to have a viable, competitive roster... |
