Get ready for another year of dink and dunk to pad the completion percentage stats which will lead to the Brees' apologists declaring "it's his best season ever!" while he ranks poorly in first down percentage, YPA, ANY/A and sack percentage.

We're going 9-7, 10-6 or 11-5 and then losing in the first round of the playoffs. Book it. Who embarrasses us this time around is the question. I'm going with an NFC West opponent though. I can see it being any of them - Rams, Seahawks or Niners.
By the way, Carnac, Brees led the entire NFL in sack percentage in 2019 at 3.1%. He was also fifth in the NFL in AY/A at 8.8. His 7.9 Y/A was ninth best in the NFL, as well.

If you're going to refer to stats make sure you know what the hell you are talking about, my friend.

Man, Drew’s cap hit is going to be like $40 million this season with the $15 mil dead cap from previous restructures.

And what makes you think that? I'll put $10 bucks on every million under your $40 million 2020 cap hit number once the final contract details come out.

Hell, I'll make it easy and bet $1 on every million under $40 million.

Just going off his most recent contract. First year cap hit: $24 million.

That $24 million included $18 million of dead money from the previous contract. It was restructured into voidable future years. This coming first year cap hit could conceivably be less than last year's.

These contracts are so fluid that you cannot look at any current figure. Loomis is a genius at working the numbers and taking full advantage of the ever increasing cap. He was doing it before others figured it out.

As I have mentioned before, my degree is in accounting and cost accounting was always my favorite type. Juggling the cap is cost accounting at its most exciting and Loomis is a rock star.

I want to see pretty much a two QB system where Hill proves he can be a legit Qb. Throw him in for the deep ball and pepper in a few plays where he pitches to our RB and then goes up front to help the offensive line. I have never seen a Qb who is a legit threat through the air with the physicality and ability to block like Hill.
We are an anomaly at Qb. Nobody has run a dual QB system with an All Pro Qb who knows he only has a year or two left and a player like Hill. Ego issues will be a non factor. It could work.

This doesn't work. Ever.

Now if it was a Rocky 2 plot where we start with Brees and if for whatever reasons the team needs to switch QBs if the offense stalls hits a wall under Brees and that situation evolves organically, naturally...

Drew is the ultimate competitor, but he's even more the ultimate team member...

Apparently we are still getting Burrow and him and Drew will split snaps. Also “anyone who thinks Hill will be taking snaps at Qb is delusional”.
But the Saints drafting Burrow is totally rational. Oh BTW, Burrow already knows the Saints offense.
