Those of us that endured watching a losing team season after season and seeing people in the stands with bags on their heads at games know how special Brees is to this team. (Don't get me started on any QB with Billy Joe for a name).
Think of how Bengals and Browns fans feel. They're miserable and desparate just for a winning season. I don't miss that feeling.

I don't do too many "back in my day" rants because they make me feel old but I'm guessing that this is primarily an old-timers vs. young-uns debate.
Well said been a fan in the stands since 1967 ... starting with the first game in Tulane Stadium. Missed some years during my military career but Pops always had season tickets and I usually made at least one game a year. Remember listening to the Hap Glaudi show and then the Buddy D show on that long ride back to Lafayette.

Never listen to Bobby because the Atlanta betrayal was to much for my Pops and most Saints Fans to overcome. Pops could never forgive a Cajun doing that to all us Cajun fans and in memory to my Pops I carry on.

But my Gwaud those were the longest drives back to Lafayette after the games listening to the post mortem and all the suffering saints faithful venting.

Think Drew and Coach still have what it takes and trust Mickey Coach Terry Fontenot and Jeff Ireland will do what’s need to put Drew and the organization in the best position possible to win it all.

WhoDat!, WW. Its good to hear from you. You're a Gold Star member, far as I'm concerned.

I used to be in that Caravan back down I-10 after the Saints games, except after you exited to Lafayette, I had a few more miles to Houston. 100 different kinds of heartbreak from the Old Days, thought I dont go back as far as you.

I understand your view, but I would invite you to bury the hatchet with Bobby Hebert. I never felt like he did the Atlanta move to US, but rather to the club's front office. Remember, they had numerous salary, terms disputes. Morten did the same thing, and we forgave him, right? I think Bobby has proven his love for La & the Saints, at the risk of his press box credentials. Plus he wore the dress for Buddy D.

Either way, I aint mad at ya, and WHODAT, Brother.

Re: Drew Is Coming Back For The 2020 Season

Some of the 'expert' opinions here don't track consistently...

We go 13-3.... Teddy Bridgewater gets credit for 5 wins and Drew Brees gets credit for 3 losses.

WHO IN THE #$ck gets credit for the remaining 9 unaccounted for games?

Teddy beat (If ONE player could beat a team) ONE team that had a winning record:

Seattle 11-5
Jax 6-10
TB 7-9
Chicago 8-8
Dallas 8-8

ALL of your arguments are invalid and there is more logic presented in the DNC debates.

I Hear ya Sky Mike follow your post and general am right in line with your views and opinion ... for me it not so personal but for my Pops, right or wrong, it was just too much to take ... he was that hardcore.

Spent many years in California and just back full time in Lafayette since fall 2018. While on the left coast I developed my Saints tracking around this site,The Bleacher Report and various internet sites. Had a sling box at a family
members house so I seldom missed a game. Watched games from Hong Kong Tokyo Beijing Shanghai Moscow Lagos Cape Town you name it and always had a Saints hat or shirt on when watching.

After internet was installed onboard our aircraft I could stream when Flying across the Pacific at 41000 feet. When I was in crew rest area of course.
To be honest talking

I have joined the new Nick Underhill subscription group NewOrleans.Footbal and signup for the Elite Plan that has 2 group dinner/events each year with Nick.

Given all that I will give a look see to the Cajun Cannon show.

Not sure if you are a Spotify follower but Nick has a weekly show there called "Saints talk". It's a good listen with very insightful info.

cool, man! Keep an eye peeled, for our upcoming Crawfish Boil. We already have Lafayette people coming, usually some NOLA, and even San Antonio.
