Re: Drew Is Coming Back For The 2020 Season
Well, this was always going to happen.
We'll now let Bridgewater walk and go to some other team who probably embarrasses us this coming season as we overpay a 41 year old, past his prime Brees. Get ready for another year of dink and dunk to pad the completion percentage stats which will lead to the Brees' apologists declaring "it's his best season ever!" while he ranks poorly in first down percentage, YPA, ANY/A and sack percentage. We're going 9-7, 10-6 or 11-5 and then losing in the first round of the playoffs. Book it. Who embarrasses us this time around is the question. I'm going with an NFC West opponent though. I can see it being any of them - Rams, Seahawks or Niners. |

As soon as Brees came back, the balance went out the window and padding those stats and chasing the all time TD record was more important. The writing is on the wall. Everyone knows how this is going to end come playoff time. |

Re: Drew Is Coming Back For The 2020 Season
Man, Drew’s cap hit is going to be like $40 million this season with the $15 mil dead cap from previous restructures.

If you're going to refer to stats make sure you know what the hell you are talking about, my friend. |

Hell, I'll make it easy and bet $1 on every million under $40 million. |

These contracts are so fluid that you cannot look at any current figure. Loomis is a genius at working the numbers and taking full advantage of the ever increasing cap. He was doing it before others figured it out. As I have mentioned before, my degree is in accounting and cost accounting was always my favorite type. Juggling the cap is cost accounting at its most exciting and Loomis is a rock star. |
