Is our pass rush good enough? If A.J. Epenesa were there at Pick 24, do we take him?

IMO it isn't but we only have 5 picks in the 2020 draft :(.

I could see us going after a mid tier DE/rotational pass rusher in Free Agency. Guys like Judon and Shaq Lawson could make an "impact" similar to what Okafor did while in New Orleans.

I'm probably wrong but pick #24 screams WR. Brees needs more "threats" on offense not named Michael Thomas.

Fix the GUARD position with a mean, nasty mofo and a legit WR target in the slot ... we're cooking with gas again on offense. Shades of 2011.

To piggy back on the post above ...

I'm ok with not having a 2nd round pick (trade w/Mia/moved up for McCoy) this season. A solid rookie campaign, smart, stayed relatively healthy and could become as good as if not better than Unger.

Dominoes, it started when we traded too much to move up to take Davenport...

Situation: A.J. Epenesa falls to us at No. 24, do you pull the trigger?

I would. Elite pass rushers with his ability are hard to find at this level.

My spider senses tell me no way AJ falls to 24 but then again no one expected a stud lineman (Ramz) to drop either.

Reason why I point this out, recognizing many similarities, in so far as the player position rankings, to the 2011 NFL Draft when we took Cam Jordan at No. 24...

Epenesa reminds me of Cam Jordan is measurables, playing style, et cetera...
