Would you take him at #32 or do you think he would still be there at #64? Maybe we could trade up.

Assigning a grade (1A, 1B, 1C, 2A, 2B, etc) reflects round and part of the round (top 10, middle 12 (or more, depending on round), lower 10)...

First, you go to his film; at least three years preferred vs the best competition level he faced...

Second is the measurables; height, weight, wing span, arm length, hand size, shoe size, lean body mass index...

Third is the common athleticism, or performance on common tasks aka performance part of the combine...

Fourth, most important to me, is the interview; throw some questions and see what's going on under the hood...

Fifth, talk to the teammates and conference rivals; coaches are important, but often have an agenda; teammates and common foes will tell you more...

Finally, watch the film again with the gathered data and see if the subject is reflecting what's on the film; this is where you determine floor and ceiling and assign your grade...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

This bullet point may have been the only reason why Ceedy Deuce dropped in the draft however it costs a lot of teams.

We were very fortunate here.

But we're not seeing him unless we're drafting in the Top 15...

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints: Roster Outlook

I have a strong hunch that Payton will fall in love with QB Trey Lance. He wants a more mobile QB to dial up more trickery and Trey Lance is that guy. His accuracy, poise and physicality as a ball carrier is just excellent.

It's still early, but everything I'm reading has Lance with a mid to upper first round grade...
