The word is he struggled with audibles at the line and the snap repoire was less than desirable from the QB's side...

No, Brother. That's ideal, prototype, textbook contract numbers for a veteran swing offensive lineman...

Only way he goes is if Clapp steps up to the next level which I'd love to see, but he's not gotten as strong two years in the NFL...

Me too... plus he's an LSU guy. Maybe we can get that other LSU OL tomorrow.

Armstead made a name for himself at the Senior Bowl coming from the SWAC. He was already a terrific athlete. I followed him closely his senior year and was looking for him to replace Brown.

It’s not just if you heard or knew of a player, it’s what his value is at the pick. I’m not disappointed in the pick mainly because it doesn’t surprise me. I just thought that if either LB was available or maybe WR, that’s where we would go. McCoy was a definite need and had a low 1st to mid 2nd Rd grade on him. Ramz had a 1st Rd grade on him as well.

They weren’t big names like most skill players but I was ecstatic that we got Armstead in 2013.

Ruiz gets low - really, really low in his blocks - That's important in getting underneath interior d-linemen, taking the leverage away, and forklifting them into their own linebackers...
