Because Payton never drafts WR's anymore. We've needed one for years and he just ignores it.

Perhaps your being sarcastic?
Tre Smith
Mike Thomas
Brandon cooks
Robert meachum
Brandon Coleman

That’s just going back a few years off the top of my head...

Allow me to rephrase, a WR that has a decent chance of making a difference. Besides Thomas and Cooks, when recently has any other WR done something of note?

Trequan runs around like he has no clue where he is, then for one game a season has this lightbulb moment where he catches more than one pass.

Coleman was UDFA and made little difference in the passing game, was primarily a blocker.

Meach was decent, but that was back in 2007.

I just get the feeling that Payton doesnt value that position early and seems to think it can be sorted via UDFA. Then there we are again, eliminated from the playoffs because no one outside of Thomas can get open.

In the offense you can't discuss WR without mentioning a Running Back. It's true. Kamara is a top WR for us. That was the intention with trading up to get him.
