According to my Football outsiders subscription, the Bucs were ranked at 23rd out of 32 teams on pass protection. They recently added Joe Haeg and just drafted a big nasty Tristan Wirfs in the 1st rd.

I have this page bookmarked to provide you a response right after training camp .

If there was a year to pick up a player that was good on the field but a sh1t show off the field this is it. There isnt any social-izing but virtual.

Neither Drew nor Sean are Dr. Phil and they arent fixing anyone, if they could.. Cooks would stil be on the team.

Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone that we picked up a 3rd QB, Sean didn't like having to temper his Taysom usage last year when Taysom became the #2... With Winston as a safety net Sean can use Hill as he pleases.

Exactly. And Winston is starter quality, as was Bridgewater. Not top half of the league starter quality, but definitely better than several at this point.

Re: Jameis Winston 1 yr deal

I wonder if the league is shifting again in focus. We have had around a decade of pass first, throwing QBs. I mean there cannot have been many eras this full of talented QBs Brees, Brady, Rogers, Manning at the very elite. Now a younger generation has arrived the last few years, those that don't want to stay in the pocket, that can create as the field starts to break with Wilson and now Jackson, Watson and Maholmes. All work well with one elite receiver and players that can work after the catch and cheaper but more RBs to compliment.

Teams started drafting smaller at LB to cope with the pass, wonder if this will lead to teams looking to exploit that.

Just mumbling outloud

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Those guys have always been around they just aren't durable enough to play as long as the pocket passers.

Comes full circle. Defenses will get smaller and faster so offenses will eventually get bigger with bruiser backs and big possession receivers that are hard to bring down. Plus running QBs will probably be around 5yrs or so average. My take anyway.
Then again I don’t know much about this.

I agree. Look at Tenn. with Henry, a punishing rb going against a small lb, cb or s, with a full steam, not very many want to get flattened like a cat hit by a mack truck.
