I don't think you are giving these men enough credit, Mike. They all know Brees far better than us. If they say they have forgiven Brees for his words then I believe them. I believe Brees is sincere and I have no doubt they do as well. The cancer is with the media for fueling exchanges such as this. Brees and his teammates are not stupid. They know what is going on. They were able to talk personally yesterday and have apparently found common ground. People tend to react to extremes quickly these days. Brees is the same man he was one week ago. For anyone to say that they have lost respect for him forever is pretty shallow thinking.

And those haters are the media, Mike. They are the ones that fan the flames and feed the fire.

I'am a black American just like my father and grandfathers that also served for this country. I come from a military family and grew up in a strict home. The majority of black American do. Its the minority that gives the majority a bad name. Like with cops the majority of cops are good but it’s the few bad ones that give them a bad name.

I grew up being able to run through the streets of my town safely (except for my own stupid ideas) as young as 8... My daughters aren't safe going to the end of the block alone. This has nothing to do with race and everything to do with Americans fighting with each other rather than their government.

If you want to call me liberal for not being sucked into a false dichotomy... That is fine by me, the liberals call me Alt-Right for the same reason. I am comfortable on my island of clarity and peace.

Its like watching two kids fight over an ice cream while a rabid dog licks the cone clean.

People have been calling each other things for centuries, I was just called liberal believe it or not.

Truth be told, I am as happy to be called liberal as you are seeing someone kneel for the national anthem. Yet here we are, still speaking civilly and you somehow rethought that statement without me telling you to go %&^K your self.

Good to see the discussions on here...

Some I don't agree with, others I do, but I value everyone expressing their opinion.

I see some people calling for posters to be banned. Regardless of what there post is, I hope we don't start going that rout. Freedom of speech is important to me, even if I disagree with what they say.
