For those that do not understand how things progress in the NFL preseason, the defense is always more prevalent due to the complexity of offense and the timing involved. Do not make the mistake to judge either unit or individual after only four practices.

I for one don’t care who our starting QB is. We have a very legit chance of making it to the Super Bowl with the amount of talent and depth we have on both sides of the ball. |

Re: 2020 New Orleans Saints Training Camp
I was listening to NFL Radio's Press Coverage with Vic Carucci and Dan Leberfeld this morning. They were talking about the press's coverage of training camps and some of the mistakes that some of the fans make when consuming that information. One thing they keyed in on in particular ... interceptions. Leberfeld said that too many fans read far too much into interceptions thrown during training camp practices. He said those interceptions are expected because the good QB's are going to be pressing the limits with each receiver to see how far they can go with their throw. They want to figure out to what point a thrown ball exceeds that receiver's ability to win that battle with the defender. He said a mistake that some young, inexperienced QB's make in these practices is that they worry too much about throwing that pick that they never get to that extreme point of trust with the receiver. They are worried about what some members of the media and/or the fans are going to say about those picks. They fail to understand that the time to "get on the same page" with your receivers is in the preseason or during practices ... not during games.

Whatcha say, my friend? |
