Re: Kamara is now holding out
I get C6-C7 ESI's (Epidural Steriod Injections)as needed about three times a year. Also get radio frequency ablation (RF's) bilaterally of the facet joints C4-C7 twice a year. Those are far more invasive, but work far better for the problems there.

Re: Kamara is now holding out
I stayed in near debilitating pain for another 2 weeks after the shot. I couldn’t really walk for 2 weeks prior to the shot, so I was down for over a month total. I’ve had a sort of numb feeling in big toe eversince. I couldn’t sleep. Went from 190 lbs to 170 lbs because I lost my appetite. It didn’t go away until my sister in law gave me roxicodone. I refuse to take medicine, but I was desperate. I finally started being able to sleep and the pain went from debilitating to just my normal back pain I’ve been dealing with since I was 18. That’s when I realized it can be extremely easy to get addicted to pills if you’re always in pain.
I’m rambling. But I work in x-ray so I’ve run the c-arm in thousands of those procedures. Results are a mixed bag. Some people get relief for months, some don’t really get any at all. |

Re: Kamara is now holding out
I pounded this idea during the draft and people thought I was crazy. He was hurt last year, and you could tell. If the saints get 3 more years at a high level they'll be fortunate. He is amazing, but the pounding( not the same as Drew was taking this offseason) will take its toll on anyone.

We have to worry about Lattimore and Ram, and they are more important.

And additional damage, missing games while at Tenn.
Just like DB#9’s arm, I want to see Kamara’s knee in action, and hold up repeatedly to the rigors of the game. If the deep ball play is called and Payton habitually brings in Taysom, then that’s the proof in the pudding, regardless of what any forumite here may state. Same for Kamara’s knee..., in all truthiness the fact that he’s already needing an epidural steroid injection worries me quite a bit wrt his “overall” health, I keep in mind that I’m not a fly on the wall there, so I know nothing truly about what’s going on in Kamara world. I’ll withhold judgement on that until the play on the field is shown. Play on the field..., the only thing that matters. Regardless of what happens, or him staying/going, I like the young man. I’ve never read a story that spoke of him in anything other than a positive light. We’ve all made mistakes, and I hope he is healthy and successful wherever he roams. Preferably staying, lol. |

Re: Kamara is now holding out
It never ceases to amaze me how quickly misinformation spreads across the internet. So much of it is based upon blogs containing "what if" scenarios due to the lack of real news. They are immediately interpreted by a lazy portion of readers as based in fact who immediately share with like thinking friends or, even worse, embellish it more with their own interpretation. Remember the game in class where one person whispered a designated message in the second person's ear and it is passed throughout the room the same way? Remember that result?
