Most often it’s far better to keep your opinion to yourself and too be thought a fool than express it to the public and confirm the obvious. The Blake issue was way past the Brees BLM Kneeling/Jenkins/Brees’s controversy. You don’t have to agree or like it but your innuendo/comment is unnecessary.

I am more than happy to discuss these issues on the merits. If you feel you can keep up, then let's have it.

I don't know what innuendo you are talking about. Jacob Blake is a sex offender. Drew Brees wore the man's name on his helmet. I think it is disgustingly pathetic.

The point is that no one believes that Drew would allow his wife to be alone with that person, but apparently Drew is okay with propping him up.

That's where this non sensible and evil movement leads people - to say and do things they know are not true. Blake was no hero and we should not treat him as such.

There are real people suffering because of this movement. And Drew is willing to go along with it - and I believe it is all because he wants play long enough to be in the discussion with Manning and Brady as the goat.

I don't remember anyone declaring Jacob Blake as any sort of "hero". Nor any of the others being recognized as having been inequitably treated by a few bad cops. The name tags were there as a gesture agreed upon via vote by the whole team. Every single player had the same name tag on their helmet. The individual players did not make that decision independently. But, regardless, the labeling it as hero worship of some sort is ludicrous and totally misinformed, just as the ludicrous notion that kneeling during the national anthem had something to do with the military. A number of persons made that connection because they were upset that the "uppity" blacks were complaining. These people claimed that they were upset because the military was being disrespected by the kneeling and claimed that the "uppity" blacks should find another way to protest. Well, now the same people are complaining about this other method of bringing attention to the inequalities. Is it truly the military being disrespected or are the "uppity" blacks and white snowflakes disrespecting someone else, instead?

I doubt Jacob Blake's victim cares too much for the distinction you are trying to make. The man is a repeat sexual offender and his victim deserves to have what he did to her to be taken into consideration before celebrity athletes adorn their helmets with his name.

I can see where there is room to argue against the position that kneeling during the anthem is disrespectful to the military. I can also see the argument for why it is disrespectful to those who have served, even if that is not the intent.

What I can't agree with is the position that kneeling is not disrespectful to the National Anthem and the flag. O have heard that argument made and it is, IMO, disingenuous. Showing contempt is exactly the purpose.

If anyone had any doubt that "the movement" was destructive before Memorial Day, there has been more than enough evidence since to remove that doubt. The people who have suffered the most are the most vulnerable who live in those communities.

By the way, why was your account at that other "Saints site" shut down? Did you join over here recently to discuss Saints football or just to find a new venue to share your agenda?

First of all, welcome to B&G

Second, don't take AG as a representation of this board. AG may post the most on here but his views are his own, as my views are my own. This forum so far, has had a lot of good discussion back and forth with solid logical discussions. But, word to the wise, avoid the back and forth with some posters, regardless of how convincing your argument they'll stay flatfooted.

Different opinions doesn't make someone your enemy, avoid making someone a villain. I know someone equated one of your first posts to some racist thought, but that's just because of their lack of intellect to challenge you on the merits of your position.
iceshack149 and gosaints1 like this.

The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.

Man AG, how totally divorced from reality you are.

"A number of persons made that connection because they were upset that the "uppity" blacks were complaining."
-Just a idiotic statement

People are praising Blake and putting his name on the uniform acknowledges that.

Here is your VP candidate praising Blake... https://thehill.com/homenews/media/5...of-jacob-blake

The NFL is going to honor Blake and other criminals because they were mistreated by the justice system (mistreatment happens to all races). However, when the cowboys wanted to honor 6 police officers that were murdered they were not allowed... odd set of values there.

The Saints are 0-42 when running the ball less than 15 times in a game.

LOL! My VP candidate? That is too hilarious. I'm voting Trump again. I don't want that brain dead Biden in office destroying my lifetime savings.

And nobody is "honoring" these people that were unfairly treated and nobody "praised" Jacob Blake. You apparently are not aware of the circumstances or wish to event your own narrative. They are using them as examples, blackandgold. BIG difference. It is as simple as that. What are you missing, my friend?

If you would look at it honestly without hate clouding your vision you would recognize that fact.
