Re: Is this Brees' Last Year at QB?
He told guys at the Pro Bowl that he was retiring. Then, he makes a whole Instagram post about how he would be back this year... leading me to think he felt the need to make an announcement. Just enjoy the game today because I think it’s our last season opener with Brees.

I hope he retires because I'm tired of crybaby fans complaining about him. Some have claimed he had a weak "noodle arm" since around 2012. Just get tired of hearing it.
Brace yourselves for when a Pro Bowl, multiple record holding QB retires. 9 in 10 teams bounce for years from QB to QB trying to replace a cement talent at QB like Brees. |

Brees will play until Jeaux Burreraux signs his second contract to come to New Orleans.

Yes it is. He delayed his decision until after super bowl. He's a very
dedicated man and is as focused on decisions as he is under center. Had covid and racial unrest been prevalent earlier, I think he would have opted to call it a career. IMO |
Re: Is this Brees' Last Year at QB?
Local reporter Luke Johnson had a story earlier about how after the 2016 season Brees told Luke McCown that 2017 would be his last season but he ended up changing his mind because we started winning again and football became fun again.
Since then, we’ve had three seasons end in massive choke jobs in the playoffs. Brees has to be tired of it. |
