yes, a lineman rolled up on his ankle when he was blocking on a run play near the end of the game.

hopefully this thing doesn't linger all season

I hope Mike sits for a week or two.

Those sprains can be tricky. Bummer that it happened in garbage time with the game in hand.

Ice up.

Didn’t this happen last year against Seattle? Payton kept him in on the last play of the game when we had the game won?

I'll play "THE WHAT IF CARD"

What if Brees got injured during a blowout victory over the Colts for some "Meaningless Record"

Records are like drinking beer. You never possess it, you just use it for a little while, then it's gone!

High ankle sprains are notoriously lingering. If he doesn't stay off of it for a few weeks he's likely not to be 100% for the rest of the season.

It all depends upon the severity. Like any other sprain high ankle sprains (or Syndesmosis Sprains) would fall under three grades with grade one being the least severe and three being the most severe. Grade III is a complete tear and requires surgery. Grade II is a partial tear and can heal with rest, but may require surgery. Grade I is more of a stretch and can be treated with therapy and pain control.

Here's hoping it is just a grade I.
