First off, Michael Thomas made the socially incorrect egregious error of calling Drew out on social media rather than talking to him man to man. I lost all respect for him then. Strike one. Then he sucker punches a teammate. Strike two. I'm just waiting to see if there is a strike three before I dismiss him as a player I want on my team.

Michael Thomas would not have accomplished as much with a different QB that doesn't have Drew's accuracy and ability to read the field. If he wants to leave he won't be as good. He's gifted but he's not bigger than the team.

I want badly to keep him but I've seen first hand how a disgruntled player can't change the good vibe of a team by sewing discontent. It's tough to come back when it becomes poisonous. As a coach for a voluntary team sport I'm willing to throw a popular player off the team because in the long run the team gets back to playing smoothly and comfortably together again.

In life I do my best to eliminate what are true problems no matter the consequences. I come from a martial arts background as an instructor where I'm not to be questioned. If you have a problem come to me in private with it in writing so we can discuss it with a clear outcome in mind.
Thomas and Brees did meet in private MONTHS ago and worked it out. They have both repeatedly said this. What do either have to gain by lying about it? What you believe really doesn't matter. You are trying to make something out of nothing. Practice fights have happened since football began. Have you personally spoken with either Brees or Thomas and have been enlightened with something other than both have shared? Didn't think so, Rugs.

First off Guido, I try hard to be an honest man. Yes, I may mislead my girl once in a while but I don't lie. I'm just not very good at it.

Secondly, I don't appreciate you calling me a liar! I'm not trying to stir up ****. I simply said that I don't buy it. How is that a lie? It's a different interpretation from yours is all. I've been supportive of your disingenuous attitude but this crossed way over the line. Maybe that attitude flies on SR but not here! Thanks for being such a bright ray of sunshine...

Edit: What you believe doesn't matter to me now...at least not more than my unimportant opinion matters. Chill out!!! I just don't buy that they worked it out. I don't see the evidence. But obviously you buy it because you want to.

Oh, and let's not make this a back and forth. I've always respected your opinion. Maybe you should respect my right to have an opinion. Damn son!

Rugs. I never said you lied. Read my post again. I said that both Brees and Thomas, and for that matter Brees and Malcolm Jenkins, have stated publicly that they talked things through and are now cool. The reference to lying was my saying that none of them have anything to gain by lying about the fact that there is not a lingering issue between them. I haven't seen any evidence that they are not telling the truth, have you?

It had nothing whatsoever to do with you or your opinion. Nowhere did I ever call you a liar. In fact, you have every right to think that Brees, Thomas and Jenkins are liars whether they have anything to gain from it or not. That is your right.

I'm sorry but you somehow totally misinterpreted my reply. Read it over again carefully and you'll understand.

I did in fact misread it. Your post read they not you. My apologies! I've been reading SR too much lately.
