At a high level when I look at the two squads yesterday I see an offense with multiple injuries listed not meeting expectations and a defense with zero injuries listed not meeting expectations.

I also saw a HOF punter not spin the FU$%ing laces on a FG which is a huge WTF moment....

I think part of Paytons play calling is actually his methodology. He calls plays based on his gut and when you do that on a small level you become unpredictable, when you do that on a large scale you become extremely predictable because your gut responses tend to be consistently the same based on the same environmental influences if that makes sense... sort of like fight or flight instantly narrows possible actions.

This is 2020, I am taking the whole year with a grain of salt..
When Payton had the sideline accident at Tampa and Carmichael took over the play-calling, found that rejuvenated the Saints offense and when Payton resumed those duties, he changed his style - for a while...

Three things that need to happen with this team right now...

Starts at the top with Payton turning play-calling over to Carmichael, at least for a while, to keep opponents from locking-in, especially those that set Taysom up to fail (not saying it's intentional)...

Second, Dennis Allen needs to be fired, he's been just as horrible as Ryan, Spagnuolo were and a message of accountability needs to be sent to the players...

Third, safety play has been atrocious with definite confusion with a number of missed assignments, and poor execution, especially tackling - we need a change there...

Some have made the point that we can win with this Brad Johnson approach on offense; this is true, if we had a defense that could get off the field on third and long...

It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...
