And going back to the initial statements, sure Many players( Brees included) expressed their opinions, but Brees was the only one that was ridiculed for his and pressured by public opinion to apologize for the way he feels about his grandparents service. Let that sink in. He had to apologize for expressing his pride And feelings for what his grandparents did. Surely you can see where some fans felt put off by that- especially those who feel similarly as he does.

Several members here have expressed that they are not "over the situation" and anytime Jenkins' name comes up they make it a point to express that lingering feeling. And as I pointed out, Brees and his teammates discussed it all in private and moved on. Any lingering feelings are an issue with others, not Brees and his teammates. I wish they could leave it be as well and let us all just enjoy this season for what it is.

Those were rhetorical questions. I immediately followed with what was your real reasoning intimating that I was expecting something more. Sorry that you didn't catch that.

Well? I am still waiting.

So, in a way, you can’t let it go that they can’t let it go. 😆

Yup. You nailed it. I am man enough to admit that. My reason is that I believe that people can say things that may hurt others, but that but those individuals can forgive and move on and still be friends. Is that so unreasonable? It's somewhat of a Catch 22, no?

Not unreasonable at all.

You mentioned before it was a dysfunctional family, or something like that here. We all gotta get along.

Would you be alright with another viewpoint on this? I don’t want to beat a dead horse or stir the pot if you aren’t. I agree with most of what you said.

MJ has looked good the last several weeks. Much better and more impactful than Von Bell. Slower? Of course...but he’s smarter. I’ve seen several plays from him that don’t show up on the stat sheet. Put him near the line of scrimmage and watch him drop back into zone. Those drags that used to kill us are getting shut down by him allowing the pass rush to get there.

I agree Rez. MJ has helped stabilize things with his experience and I think they are getting enough pash rush from the front that there aren’t a lot of open guys for other QBs to throw to. What may be the downfall is the long, Hail Mary type passes like Rogers and Wilson love to throw. Big throws have killed over the last few seasons.
