Saints again start slow, sloppy with comeback falling short; here's what happened in Chiefs loss

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I'm optimistic we'll get out of the gate quickly on Friday. Brees won't be stuck in neutral in his second game. IMO he was very SHARP in that 2 min drill vs Chiefs....

I consider that garbage time. Saints were two scores down and the ONLY way we were getting the ball back on offense was either a turnover or an onside kick. Saints defense played fairly well, but Mahomes wasn’t going to be stopped. The game was over when we kicked off after that score, from my perspective. 34 first downs allowed and 50%, 9 of 18 on 3rd downs? Ooof. 34 first downs allowed! 41 minutes of possession allowed, the defense was allowing a first downs roughly every minute of the game that Mahomes was on the field.

Ooofff....
