It’s hard for me to separate the two

Posted 02-24-2020 at 10:41 AM by neugey

*** Reposting this to blog today in honor of 2/24, the day of Kobe Bryant Memorial Ceremony.

It’s hard for me to separate the two. Being a Lakers fan and a Saints fan.

I had these observations during this season that seemed silly and biased to comment to you all about. In the last few years, there were little moments where Drew reminded me a lot of Kobe. Drew injuring his hand and wearing that brace and obviously stewing because he wanted like crazy...

The Road Gets Tougher

Posted 10-04-2013 at 04:26 AM by BoudinSandwich

I was debating on whether or not I'd post this week, but since I'm superstitious and the Saints are 4-0, I guess I have to. Again, I'd like to thank everyone who reads these things. This post, however, I won't be patting myself on the back for realizing trends early on.

I will say that I was correct in the Cardinals and Dolphins being 'what the doctor ordered' in terms of getting the Saints' redzone offense back on track. The Saints have once again proven themselves to be masterful...

Sean Payton..Offensive Coordinator..Not Head Coach

Posted 12-30-2007 at 05:14 PM by abutler

Sean Payton is a scientist when it comes to drawing up plays. He's also reliable in doing his homework on stats and percentages, and he ensures everything looks good on paper. However; games aren't won on paper. Games are won by much more. One especially important intangible that Sean Payton lacks is feel. This has been OBVIOUSLY EVIDENT since he brought the Saints up to Chicago for the NFC Championship game. They showed up on Saturday night for Sunday's Championship game. I heard him say...

Sympathy for the Vikings

Posted 12-20-2011 at 03:45 PM by neugey

After we won Sunday, I felt bad for the Vikings. But not about the beating we gave them on the field ... I liked that part.

The Saints can come in and smoke the Vikings like we did and I would expect the post-game radio in this market to sound angry, upset, disappointed. Instead I only hear hurt, pain, demoralization. For many Vikings fans, broadcasters and supporters, the games in a 2-12 season at this point are merely a diversion. The 10k ton elephant is that the Vikings only...
