... yeah, he wasn't going to bring anything to the Wings they didn't already have, and at that price, he's hardly a bargain ... that's why they didn't pursue him.
I haven't really followed Carolina since Paul Coffey played for them, but they've been making some moves ... they got Jordan Staal and now Semin, they could be serious. There is a bit of a local rivalry between the Hurricanes owner (Karmanos) and the Wings owner (Illitch), so now that the Wings aren't so dominant, maybe Carolina is going to make a run at them ... these millionaires and their toys,
