this is a discussion within the NFL Community Forum; And Nnamdi played under Ryan before. Unfortunately no news on Smith, Vilma and Harper. No news probably means they're accepting a new contract or something....

Re: Nnamdi is now available.
We are no where near under the cap
We are 2.5m Over. Plus the Draft + practice squad + 3M cushion to start the season. |

Re: Nnamdi is now available.
If we want under the cap we need to cut Smith, Vilma and Harper. I know there is more money involved but start making the tough decisions.

Nnamdi would be an upgrade. He was not bad as eagle he just wasn't the savior that they paid big bucks for.

Re: Nnamdi is now available.
A writer over at canalstreetchronicles argued that we were already under the cap. That's probably not true, but cutting Herring, plus restructuring (i.e. pay cut) for Smith, Vilma, and/or Harper would free up a ton of cap space.

Re: Nnamdi is now available.
Seen him play while in Philly and I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole.
His pricetag will be far more than he's worth, because: 1) He doesn't tackle. 2) His man pass defense is atrocious. Better keep looking. Nnamdi is smoke and mirrors, which is why Philly let him go. |
