I'm hoping we can land an older QB FA on the relative-cheap, and with some luck land either an OT or DE/OLB instant-impact player in the draft, so our major FA signings can have some more $$ behind them. After all, money talks and...well you know what walks. In the end I am a realist about the "stars aligning" nature of my FA/draft hopes. But it sure would be nice for PayLoo to not hit a homer, but a bases clearing Grand Slam. |

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha
we dont need a major FA signing like Nnamdi...
we have the cap room to get a few decent players that fit the 34... Now if we get rid of or restructure Harper that changes things a bit. Restructuring Harper gives us the ability to make a big splash in the FA market. |

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha
I think if we make these corners stick not only Harper is gone, but Greer also.......

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha
dont want this guy.....we will pay good money for a guy whos good years are behind him...has anyone watch him play the last 2 years...he is not versatile he has no awareness and gives up huge plays.....but i guess that fits the new orleans defense....lets pay him top dollar

He's only 31... sometimes a new team brings the swagger back to players. Thoughts? |

Re: Nnamdi Asomugha
Simply cutting Roman Harper would allow us enough cap space to nab Nnamdi, grab a decent 3-4 end, add a reasonable backup QB, and select an adequate left tackle in the draft.
Am I wrong? |

Schefter reporting that we couls see Keenan Lewis sign today.
@LarryHolder: RT @AdamSchefter: Next CB deal likely done is in New Orleans. Saints are close to deal with Steelers free-agent CB Keenan Lewis that could be done today |
