But having guys side-by-side is advantageous for perspective... Reminds me of the ole Jim Finks adage - if you got two guys on the draft board when you're picking, take the bigger guy... |

These are all concerns with isolated pro days that was discussed a few days ago on NFL Radio. As meaningless as the time of a player who has trained specifically to run a 40 sans any football gear is it does have some significance when compared to others under the exact same conditions. The combine does provide this at least. |

CB Patrick Surtain ll - Alabama … serious skills, high football IQ, form tackler and the ability to make plays on the boundaries.
In case you were wondering, this is the son of former Dolphin legend Patrick Surtain. Also New Orleans/Ednar Karr native. |

Re: 2021 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints
I haven't been much of a college football fan since running a bowl pick 'em contest 25-30 years ago. Even then it was the teams and not individual players. Once the Saints draft them then I can learn what I can about them. I don't have much interest in them until they wear the Black and Gold or begin becoming viable fantasy players in the NFL. Sure, there's your Trevor Lawrence types that crossover into the mainstream, but I couldn't name five other players in college ball.

Re: 2021 NFL Draft: New Orleans Saints
This my favorite thread of the year. After reading all this I not only know what players I want but I'm familiar with the rest of the players entering the league. For example last year before the draft I knew that Callaway and Trautman were going to be productive from their tape and not just their highlights.
