As far as being too ignorant to understand ... I'll stick with that. Being stupid and ignorant are two completely different things. You can be ignorant of certain facts regardless of how intelligent you may be. The fact is that wearing a mask gives the wearer a certain degree of protection against COVID. It is also a fact that wearing a mask gives a great deal of resistance to spreading the virus as an active carrier. The combination of the two, along with proper distancing, makes the transference of the virus extremely unlikely. Whereas, the absence of all three creates an atmosphere where transferring the virus is quite likely. While ignorance is bad, the knowing refusal of one to protect themselves and others is far worse. Sad. |
